Kicking ass with The Aboriginal Outlaws! This week we welcome Secora Oakes, kickboxing fighter and trainer as she promotes her upcoming very first competition fight.  
Secora trains hard, and teaches at Undefeated MMA in Cornwall Ontario, and we're grateful she's willing to share her adventure with us all.
We're also joined by her emotional support human Kanietahare to hold her pads as she tees off with the thunder.
If you're in the area get your tickets today the fight takes place on May 30th at the  Cornwall Civic complex.

Today we welcome Scott Peters to Sage to share his experience as and elected Chief for The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne in the District of Tsisnaihne. Our frank and earnest discussion may shed some light on the workings of The Northern Portion of Akwesasne, and what it takes to get our needs met.
Some of us at Sage have been known to be hypercritical of the elective bodies placed in our communities. 
In Haudenosaunee Country tension has existed between Originalist/Traditionalist versus Western Influenced and outright Imposed elective systems. The tale of imperialism is as old as recorded history.
While we may have a difference in ideology  the fact remains these organizations administer vital services that Akwesasronon rely upon, interface with the powers that be, and employ hundreds of our friends and family who work diligently to keep the lights on each and every day.
